JV White handles Dripping Springs

The Lampasas High School junior varsity White Team held off Dripping Springs Thursday night to close out its season with a 28-26 win.

The Badgers (4-5-1 overall, 3-3- 1 in district) got touchdowns from four different plays in the win.

"All of our district games except Pflugerville Connally (a 21-0 Badger win) have come down to the last seconds of the game," LHS coach Stephen Hermesmeyer said. "Our kids found a way to win tonight. They have shown tremendous fight all season and have played their hearts out."

For the Badgers, Ronnie Branch scored on a 22-yard run, Edward Grant scored from 4 yards out, Tanner Mobley scored on an 18-yard run and Matt Finto cashed in a 4- yarder. Grant recorded successful two-point runs after the touchdowns by Mobley and Finto.

Dripping Springs 27, LHS 9th White 13: The Lampasas freshman White Team closed out its season with a road loss last week.

Ryan Peter threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Colton Perkins, and Javier Renteria scored on a 3- yard run. Perkins added a successful extra point kick.
