Howell

Army Spec. Jeffrey A. Howell has been decorated with the Army Commendation Medal.

The medal is awarded to individuals who, while serving in any capacity with the U.S. Army, have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism, meritorious achievement or meritorious service.

Howell, a fire control systems repairer, is assigned to Bravo Company, 4th Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team at Fort Hood.

The specialist has served in the military for four years.

He is the son of Deborah J. and Michael D. Howell of Copperas Cove, and his wife is the daughter of Kenneth and Chiang Fiaoni of Kempner.

Howell is a 2003 graduate of Copperas Cove High School.
