      Kline Whitis Elementary has launched its 2007-08 Box Tops for Education fund-raising campaign. This year's goal is to earn $2,000 through Box Tops to earn money for the campus. Box Tops for Education is a school fund-raising program sponsored by General Mills.

Stock show exhibitors have success at Waco HOT event
      Lampasas FFA and 4-H youth showed well at the Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo held in Waco. Kelsi Ray placed third with her show steer, and Samantha Phillips took sixth. Eighteen pigs were exhibited at the swine show and jackpot competition.
