Getting ready
As a chill wind blew and temperatures hovered in the 50s on Tuesday, city crews strung Christmas lights around the Courthouse Square. Groundsman Wran Capps is shown working on one section of the lights. Below, on the ground, Lineman II Raymond Roberts said jokingly of the weather: "We had to pick the windiest day to do this." Crews tested lights on the top of buildings in the downtown on Monday.
