Despite a decisive loss at the hands of No. 3 Calvert last Friday, the Lometa football team can clinch the No. 2 seed in Six-Man Division I District 16 with a road win against Cherokee tonight.

A Calvert win and a Lometa loss would create a three-way tie for second place. A Calvert win and a Lometa win would give Lometa the No. 2 seed and Buckholts the No. 3. A Calvert loss and Lometa win would create a three-way tie for first between Calvert, Lometa and Buckholts. The only way Lometa could be eliminated from the playoffs is a Buckholts win over Calvert and a Cherokee win over Lometa.
