Cedar Park Vista Ridge's junior varsity squads both scored wins against Lampasas on Thursday at Badger Field.

The Rangers A Team topped the LHS White Team 20-13, and the Rangers B Team topped the Blue Team 28-0.

The Rangers A Team was led by quarterback Michael Pickett. Pickett ran for touchdowns of 7 and 19 yards and threw a 25-yard touchdown to Zach Wimberly.

The Badgers rallied from a 20-0 deficit with two second-half scores. Quarterback Astin Murray connected with Zach Radenz on a 76-yard scoring strike on a perfect over-the-shoulder throw and catch to bring the Badgers within 20-7.

The Badgers pulled within 20- 13 when Edward Grant bulled his way into the end zone from 1 yard out.

Vista Ridge B was led by running back Stephen Hejl, who carried for two scores.

Westridge MS 21, LMS 8th Blue 20: The Blue Team, led by consistent offensive line play, fell to the Austin Westlake feeder last week.

Brandon Scott's three touchdown runs each capped long scoring drives, including an 81-yarder with one time out.

In other recent action, the Blue lost 24-14 to Marble Falls. Layton Irvin scored on a 4-yard run, and Scott threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Trine Valles in the loss.

Westridge A 14, LMS 7th Blue 8: Marcus Kehoe connected with Esidro Arce on a 74-yard scoring pass, but it wasn't enough to pick up the win against the Austin Westlake feeder last week.

Jake Terry blocked a punt, Jose Acevedo intercepted a pass and John Cole Vann had five tackles.

Westridge B 26, LMS 7th White 0: Dallas Brooks intercepted a pass for LMS, but Westridge proved too strong on both sides of the ball in last week's action.
