Hospital given ORCA grant

The Office of Rural Community Affairs, a state agency, recently presented an oversized, ceremonial check to each of 18 grant recipients who received a total of $1,559,162 in grants between Sept. 1, 2006 and Aug. 31, 2007.

The event was coordinated by ORCA in partnership with the Central Texas Council of Governments.

Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas was a grant recipient and received $9,157.

ORCA is a state agency dedicated solely to rural Texas.
