Coleman helps lead Trinity past Millsaps

Former Badger Chris Coleman, after recording 127 yards last week, caught eight passes for 119 yards on Saturday in helping No. 19 Trinity University rally past No. 23 Millsaps, 28-24.

Trinity (7-1 overall, 5-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletics conference) outscored Millsaps (6-2, 5- 1) 15-10 in the fourth quarter.

On the season, Coleman has caught 36 passes for 605 yards and two touchdowns.

West Texas A&M 38, Angelo State 17: The ankle injury Lampasas product Keith Null suffered in last week's win against Abilene Christian kept him on the sideline of No. 5 West Texas A&M's 38-17 home win against Angelo State on Saturday.

Null, who entered the game leading the nation with 29 touchdown passes and second with 2,814 yards, was replaced by Taylor Harris, who threw four TDs in leading WTAMU (9-0 overall, 7-0 in the Lone Star Conference). ASU falls to 2-6 overall and 2-5 in the conference.

Two former Badgers saw playing time for the Rams. Ty Brock participated without recording any statistics, and Will Mezger registered one tackle.

Middle Tennessee State 48, North Texas 28: Middle Tennessee scored 18-unanswered points on Saturday to knock off the Mean Green.

For UNT (1-7 overall, 1-4 in the Sun Belt Conference), former Badger Brock Stickler caught one pass for 16 yards, giving him 23 catches for 262 yards and a touchdown on the year. Middle Tennessee improved to 4-5 overall and 3-1 in the Sun Belt.

Wisconsin-Whitewater 41, Mary Hardin-Baylor 14: Thirdranked University of Wisconsin- Whitewater pounded No. 2 University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in a non-conference game on Saturday.

UMHB drops to 7-1 overall and 6-0 in the American Southwest Conference. Whitewater is 7-1.

Lampasas product Kirsten Leverett had a solo tackle, giving him nine solos and 14 assists on the year.

Brother Kristen did not record an official tackle.
