Art club offers booth space at gallery
Lampasas Art Club met Oct. 8 for its regular monthly meeting at the gallery, Third and Live Oak streets.
Following the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer, members shared information on those with health or family concerns. It was noted four club members have October birthdays, and they were wished a happy birthday.
Anyone interested in booth or vendor space at the gallery should stop by or phone for information.
Sheila Ringer, vice president, planned a club trip to Hobby Lobby in September, and she reported it was a good outing.
Lillian Perkins is October Artist of the Month, and July Parnell is November Artist of the Month.
The gallery's interior design and upkeep committee is taking inventory. Members are asked to help by identifying any personal or on-loan items in the gallery. These and other items should be labeled. The first Monday of each month is designated as gallery work day. Anyone with ideas on needs, changes or upkeep is encouraged to meet at 1 p.m.
Dorothy Berg, bake sale chairman, discussed participation in the Herb/Art Fest earlier this month. She reported it was a good fundraising event.
Members also shared plans for a bake sale and booth at the Nov. 3 Citywide Garage Sale. As one of the club's major fund-raisers, members are encouraged to volunteer for the day. Donations will be accepted. For information, phone the gallery at 556-9755.
