Atkinson-Hendrix
Pastor Mark Barnard of Naruna Baptist Church officiated the double-ring evening ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mike and Cindy Atkinson of Lampasas. She is the granddaughter of George and Ethel Osborne of Copperas Cove, and Luella Atkinson and the late Harrell Atkinson of Lampasas. The groom's parents are Tim and Connie Hendrix of Lampasas. He is the grandson of Bernice Matchen and the late John Henry Matchen, and Roxie Hendrix and the late Thomas Hendrix, all of Lampasas. Soloist was Cegie Lockhart of Austin. She sang "The Prayer." Greenery and candelabra were scattered throughout the church during the candlelight ceremony. Baskets of fern and pillars with lighted candles and fresh flowers flanked the altar. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless Casablanca gown with lace, mini pearls and beads. Her waist-length veil with blusher had beaded edges with lace. To complement her gown, the bride carried a round bouquet of soft pink and yellow dahlias, Anna roses, mini cala lilies, white orchids and Queen Anne's lace. Maid of honor was the bride's sister, Emily Atkinson, of Lampasas. Bridesmaids included Holly Hill of Lampasas, the groom's sister; the bride's cousins, Lynne Palmer of Austin, Jenny Patterson of Corpus Christi and Jessica Osborne of San Marcos; and Cegie Lockhart of Austin. They wore floor-length, strapless A-line pistachio-green gowns and carried bouquets of pink cala lilies, dahlias and gerbera daisies. Flower girl was Rachel Russell, cousin of the bride. She wore a floor-length, ivory dress with a pistachio-green band at the waist. The skirt was embellished with rhinestones. She carried a pomander of pink sweetheart roses. Best man was Chadley Griggs of Georgetown. Groomsmen were Ryan Hill, brother-in-law of the groom, Lucas Atkinson, the bride's brother, Bradley Garrett and Rex Bumpus, all of Lampasas, and Rob Bumpus of Cedar Park. Ushers were Nick Roberts of Lampasas, and Louis Ikonen and Travis Ott, both of Austin. Ring bearer was the bride's cousin, Chantz Burdette. Following the ceremony, a dinner and reception was given by the bride's parents at Reunion Ranch in Georgetown. The bride's four-tier, square white cake had raspberry filling and was topped with white phaelenopsis. The groom's square dark chocolate cake had marble icing and chocolate-dipped strawberries. Houseparty members were Jennifer Bowen, Jessica Lancaster and Katherine Roberts. After a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple is at home in Leander. The bride earned a bachelor of science in biomedical science from Texas A&M University. The groom is employed by TICO Construction, Inc. The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner prior to the wedding at Romeo's Italian Grill and Bar in downtown Georgetown. Entertainment was provided by pianist Winston Hall of Lampasas. ![]() |
