Mr. Storms John Albert Storms, 54, of Bastrop, formerly of Lampasas, died Oct. 16, 2007, in an accident in Pecos County. Funeral services are Oct. 27 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Lampasas with Pastor Rondy Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas. Mr. Storms was born March 1, 1953, in Burnet, the son of John B. and Gracie Mae McPhaul Storms. He attended schools in Lampasas, graduating from Lampasas High School in 1972. Mr. Storms attended Ranger Junior College. He played baseball for the Chaparrals in Lampasas for many years. Mr. Storms enjoyed all types of sports. He met his wife, Mary Alvarado, in 1977, and they were married Sept. 1, 1985. Mr. Storms attended Zion Rest Baptist Church in Austin. Survivors include his wife of Bastrop; a daughter, Kristen Storms, of Bastrop; a sister, Darlene Boyce, and husband, Robert, of Fontana, Calif.; a niece, Kimberly Boyce-Knight, and husband, Kelvin, of Arlington, and their children, Davin and Jasmin; and a host of cousins, aunts, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; by an uncle, Jasper Storms; a cousin, Rodney Storms; his grandmother, Mary Cook; and an aunt, Helen M. Carter. |
