Highland Lakes Democratic Women to meet

After a large group met recently to hear Judge Woodie Jones speak on the importance of the upcoming Constitutional Amendments election and his prospects of becoming chief justice of the Third Court of Appeals, Democrats are looking toward the upcoming elections with enthusiasm, said a club spokesman.

Highland Lakes Democratic Women will meet Thursday to keep that optimism going at 11:30 a.m. for lunch at Lucy Anderson's home, 402 Lakeview, Deer Haven, with a meeting to follow at noon.

The agenda will include the budget for the coming year.
