Now just a memory
A landmark of Lometa long ago was this school building. One of the pillars of the community in days gone by was Harvey Maxwell, a Civil War veteran and Texas Ranger. Maxwell and a dozen other area pioneers will be remembered during "The Ghosts of Lampasas County" tonight at 7 p.m. at the courthouse. Janie Potts will direct the free program sponsored by the Lampasas County Historical Commission.
