Wedding vows exchanged at Lampasas church

Courtney Eryn Duhon of Lampasas and Monty Glen Young of McKinney were united in marriage in a July 7, 2007, ceremony at the Hancock Springs Hostess House in Lampasas.
Minister Darrell Feemster of New Covenant Church officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Cecil and Vicki Duhon of Lampasas. She is the granddaughter of Wanda Turner of Lampasas, and the late Joseph Turner of Sonora, and the late Willis and Noemi Duhon of Anahauc.
The groom's parents are Norman Young and Carol Gustin. He is the grandson of Jessie and Florence Young of Blue Ridge, and Mozelle Day and the late Nelson Day of McKinney.
Red roses decorated the wedding scene.
Musical selections included "Keeper of the Stars" during lighting of the Unity candle.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She chose a white, satin A-line gown with a draped front and a sweetheart off-the-shoulder neckline. The dress had a beaded bodice and chapel-length train. The back of the dress featured a "V" with beading.
She wore a two-tier, elbowlength veil with beaded lace trim.
To complement her gown, the bride carried a bouquet of red roses.
Candie Miller of Granbury was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Alycen Delrie of Buda and Lindsay Neely of Lampasas, sisters of the bride; Jeni Irvine and Stacy Ross, both of Lampasas; and Rebecca Valois of Harker Heights.
Attendants wore sleeveless satin, apple-red dresses with a scoop neck and beading. The floor-length dresses had a V-back with beading.
Flower girls were Kaitlyn Neely of Lampasas and Lauren Delrie of Buda, nieces of the bride.
They wore white dresses with a satin bodice and organza skirts with apple-red satin flowers and a matching sash at the waist.
Best man was Chris Price of McKinney.
Groomsmen were Todd Delrie of Buda, the bride's brother-in-law; Bradley Neely of Lampasas; and Mike Childress, Justin Inge and Derrick James, all of McKinney.
Ushers were Shawn Jamal of McKinney and Brian Gregory of Cameron.
After the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception.
The bride's three-tiered amaretto cake was covered with fresh red roses and delicate lacing.
The groom's round chocolate cake had TSU in purple icing.
The couple took a mini-wedding trip to Salado and stayed at Weatherstone Lodge, Bed and Breakfast.
They are at home in Stephenville.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree in human sciences in 2005 from Tarleton State University. She is an Early Childhood intervention specialist.
The groom earned a bachelor of science degree in agribusiness in 2005 and a master of business administration in 2007, both from Tarleton State University. He is a manager for H-E-B.
The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner prior to the ceremony at the Hostess House.
