Aycock announces bid for House re-election

Jimmie Don Aycock
State Rep. Jimmie Don Aycock (R-Killeen) has confirmed that he will seek re-election to represent House District 54 in the Texas Legislature.

Aycock, in his first term, serves on the House Agriculture Committee, Livestock Committee, Higher Education Committee and Redistricting Committee.

He is actively involved with Veterans' Land Board and recently was appointed one of six House members to serve on the Texas Legislative Council.

In making his re-election announcement, Aycock said, "It is a great honor to serve the citizens of House District 54.

"While I have been able to accomplish much during my first session, there is still much to be done."

The state representative said he looks forward to continuing to fight for the conservative values held by most voters in the district.

"I am asking for the continued support of the citizens of all three counties in my district -- Bell, Burnet and Lampasas."
