Null's sixth-ranked Buffaloes take on 12th-ranked Wildcats

Five Lampasas High School graduates are scheduled to see action in college games on Saturday.

West Texas A&M at Abilene Christian, 2 p.m.: Junior quarterback Keith Null and the No. 6 Buffaloes will hit the road to play No. 12 ACU in what should be shootout.

WTAMU (7-0 overall, 5-0 in the Lone Star Conference, 3-0 in the LSC South) averages 46.3 points and 525.6 yards per game. ACU (6- 1, 5-0, 2-0) averages 44 points and 515.4 yards per contest.

Null, an LHS product, leads all of NCAA Division II with 25 touchdown passes.

Null is second in passing yards per game at 350.6. On the year, Null has completed 211 of 314 passes for 2,454 yards with just seven interceptions.

North Texas at Troy State, 2:30 p.m.: The Mean Green picked up their first win of the season last week, a 31-21 Sun Belt Conference win over Louisiana- Monroe.

The Mean Green (1-5, 1-2) will try to maintain that momentum in Troy, Ala. Troy State (4-2, 3-0) has won four straight games.

Brock Stickler: North Texas junior has caught 21 passes for 240 yards this year.
Junior UNT receiver Brock Stickler caught six passes for 68 yards in last week's win. On the year, the former Badger has caught 21 passes for 240 yards and touchdown.

South-Sewanee at Trinity,

2:30 p.m.: No. 22 Trinity rebounded from its only loss of the season with a 43-28 win at DePauw University last week and will play host to University of South- Sewanee (Tenn.).

Trinity (5-1, 2-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletics Conference) will try to avoid a trap game against South-Sewanee (1-5, 0-5).

Chris Coleman caught two passes for 64 yards, including a 53-yarder, in last week's victory.

On the season, he has 21 pass receptions for 359 yards and a touchdown.

Mary Hardin-Baylor at Mississipi College, 2 p.m.: The Cru maintained its No. 2 national ranking with a 70-14 win last week over Louisiana College.

This week, the Cru (6-0, 5-0 in the American Southwest Conference) will play in Clinton, Miss. Mississippi College (5-1, 3-1) is coming off a 50-7 win against winless LaGrange College.

UMHB's Kristen Leverett has eight solo tackles and 11 assists on the year, while brother Kirsten Leverett has a solo tackle and two assists.
