Superintendent certification to be offered

School administrators interested in earning superintendent certification can do so in the Hill Country while continuing to work. The 15- credit hour Superintendent Professional Certification preparation program is offered by Texas Tech University College of Education.

Students can attend classes at TTU at Fredericksburg, TTU at Highland Lakes or TTU Center at Junction.

The program will help prepare students to pass the State Board for Educator Certification School Superintendent TExES examination and pursue a career as a school district

superintendent in Texas.

The cohort runs January through

December.

The Texas Education Agency requires Texas certification as a teacher and principal and at least two years of TEA-approved teaching experience.

All participants must be actively, or in the recent past, engaged in a campus- or district-level administrative position.

For more information, phone (830) 990-2717, (830) 798-9548 or (325) 446-2301. Application deadline is Nov. 1.
