Woodson spoils Homecoming

      Woodson's defense stiffened inside its own 10-yard line five times in a decisive win against Lometa last Friday. The Hornets (4-3) have lost two of three, but they have a bye tonight before opening Six-Man Division I District 16 play at home against Buckholts next Friday.

Homecoming royalty
      Taylor Bradley was crowned Lometa High School Homecoming queen during half-time festivities at last Friday's game against Woodson at Hornet Field. Toby Davis was selected Homecoming king.

      Lometa Senior Center will host an open house Monday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its refurbished facility, 111 W. Railway St. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. Donations will be accepted. For information, phone 752-3693.
