This book jacket has been approved, and "Sandy's Gift" has gone to print, with an expected release at the end of October. Author Deborah Ann Barrett is a former Lampasas resident and member of the LHS Class of 1972. Her inspirational Christian fiction outlines the broken heart and shattered dreams experienced by the character Sandy, who tries to run from God and the hurt she has experienced. Through unexpected sources, Sandy discovers friendship, love, forgiveness and acceptance, and finds her way back to God. Ms. Barrett, who said her own life has been smattered with trials, has produced her first book with PublishAmerica and works as a speech pathologist in Texas.
