Vietnam memorial replica on display in Central Texas

"The Moving Wall" Vietnam Veterans Memorial will be on display in Early until Monday at Eastlawn Memorial Park.

The wall is a half-size replica of the Washington, D.C. memorial and has been touring the country for more than 20 years and travels to offer the opportunity to see it to those who do not have the opportunity to go to the nation's capital.

The Moving Wall went on display for the first time in October 1984 at Tyler. Two structures of it now travel the United States from April through November, spending about a week at each site.

There is no charge to visit The Moving Wall, and rubbings are welcome.
