Genealogy meeting, lock-in slated

Central Texas Genealogical Society will meet Monday at 7 p.m. at the Waco-McLennan County Library Main Branch, 1717 Austin Ave. in Waco.

In other news, the eighth annual Genealogy Lock-In is Oct. 26 from 6 p.m. to midnight at Central Library.

There will be consultations with visiting genealogy professionals, meeting members of local hereditary societies, genealogy database training, genealogy beginners' class, period re-enactors, reference assistance, food and door prizes.
