Sports complex: another neglected project for city?

Now we are going to build a sports complex. It is a pretty picture in the newspaper. How long will it take before it looks like our great Hanna Springs, with a sad barbed wire fence built around it, or our wonderful free-flow swimming pool with portable dressing rooms and porta-potties that were placed there this year after the swimming pool -- that the people of Lampasas voted not to build -- fell apart and had to be closed.

Or, a community park that the city could not afford to replace any equipment, but has given the ladies in Lampasas permission to have bake sales to make enough to replace the equipment.

Or, be in the shape of our existing soccer fields with pitiful porta-potties and a broken water fountain.

Or, a beautiful spring-fed creek that runs through our town that is completely covered with brush and driftwood and trash, but there again they have given their permission to the people of Lampasas to go in there and cut and clean out said brush.

Right; now we are going to have a sports complex not to take care of.
