George Torres

Funeral mass for George A. Torres, 52, of Lometa is Oct. 16, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Lometa with Father Pedro Castillo officiating. Burial is at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa.

Mr. Torres died Oct. 13 at TexSan Heart Hospital in San Antonio.

He was born Jan. 2, 1955, in Lampasas County, the son of Ray and David Bique Ancira Torres.

Mr. Torres had polio as a child and was disabled the remainder of his life.

He married Emily Zapata in November 1986.

Survivors include his wife of Lometa; two sons, Ray Torres and Ambrose Torres, both of Brady; his mother of Lometa; a sister, Cecilia Matamoros, of Rogers; two brothers, Tom Torres and Mike Torres, both of Lometa; and three grandchildren, Ray Torres Jr., Lacy Torres and Hector Torres.

The family requested memorials be made to Mike Torres in care of Mills County State Bank in Goldthwaite.
