Fishing classes offered

The Boys and Girls Club of Lampasas has teamed up with the Texas Cooperative Extension to offer area children fishing classes.

The month-long series of classes starts Monday and is scheduled for each of the three following Mondays. The classes are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club.

Children will be taught proper casting techniques, knot tying and laws and regulations associated with fishing.

After the children complete the first three classes, they will be afforded the opportunity to take a fishing trip during the final class.
