15-year jail sentence given A 15-year sentence in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice was handed down in the 27th District Courtroom of Judge Joe Carroll. Phillip Lee Burns, 34, was credited for 221 days served. He is charged with aggravated assault, serious bodily injury, deadly weapon. Two years in state jail was given to Temple resident Ryan Tony Davis, 19, for burglary of a building. He also was fined $15,000 and must pay restitution of $29,419.20. Davis was credited with 164 days' jail time served. An 18-month sentence in state jail was assessed to Lance Douglas Snyder, 40, for theft over $20,000 and under $100,000. He also was credited with time served. On a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver against Natasha N. Kepler, the 23-year-old Copperas Cove resident was given 10 years' deferred adjudication probation and a $1,000 fine. Arrest warrants were issued for Joann Michel Jowers, 47, of Copperas Cove, and Kempner resident Tammy Lorine McCullough, 39, when they failed to show up for court. Ms. Jowers, charged with possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, had her bond increased to $5,000, while Ms. McCullough's bond was increased to $30,000 on her charge of possession of a controlled substance. An adjudication announcement is set today for Jacob Levi Vasquez, 23, charged with burglary of a habitation. Pretrial hearings are today for Bobbie Lee Burnham, 42, of San Saba for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; and for Jesus Gonzalez Jr., 30, for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. Pretrial hearings are on the Oct. 19 docket for Richard Guy Jensen, 44, of Copperas Cove on a charge of aggravated assault, threat, deadly weapon; for Edward Lloyd Patterson, 24, of Goldthwaite for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; and for Jeremy Mathurin, 22, of Austin on a charge of criminal attempt. Punishment is to be handed down Oct. 19 to Lucila Garcia, 45, of Lometa. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Killeen resident Erika Charles, 27, charged with forgery, is set for an Oct. 19 arraignment. Arraignments are scheduled on Nov. 16 for William Smart Henry, 20, of Belton, for burglary of a habitation; and for Brenda Sue Gaines, 31, of Killeen for forgery. A pretrial hearing is slated Nov. 16 for Matthew Roy Thompson, 21, for aggravated assault, threat, deadly weapon. His bond was set at $1,000. Burnet resident Bradley Travis Lindsey, 23, is expected to enter a plea Dec. 7 for evading arrest with a vehicle. Dec. 10 jury trials are set for Lester Jerome Bailey, 49, for evading arrest with a vehicle; Jeffery Wade Menem, 39, of Austin for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; and for Christopher Louis Vega, 29, of Burnet for bond jumping and aggravated assault, threat, deadly weapon. An adjudication hearing is scheduled Dec. 21 for Brian L. Holstein, 23, for burglary of a building and possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $1,000 per charge. A motion to revoke was withdrawn against Richard Edward Miller, 57, of Lampasas for credit card abuse. Jan. 28 jury trials are slated for Emmett Lee Pugh, 59, of Lampasas for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition; and for Killeen resident James Patrick Trunk, 45, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. |
