Pianist to perform

Joyce Yang
Fresh from a triumphant concert at Fort Worth's Bass Performance Hall, Joyce Yang will headline the next offering of the Temple Symphony Orchestra.

The 21-year-old artist, a South Korean native, was the youngest competitor at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2005, walking away with a silver medal.

She has studied at Julliard School of Music and is featured in the "Heart of Music," a film documentary about the 2005 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.

The recital begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Mary Alice Marshall Fine Arts Center on the Temple College campus.
