Top musicians
Lampasas High School Jazz Band musicians Stephen Grant, left, and Johnathon Burns were selected to the All-Region Jazz Band in recent tryouts in Temple. Grant made third on tenor saxophone, and Burns was second on bass trombone, advancing him to the area level with an opportunity to head to state. Both will perform with the All- Region Jazz Band Nov. 17.
