Mr. Underwood

Leeman Underwood Jr., 82, of Lampasas died Oct. 8, 2007, at his residence.

Graveside services are Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. at Pioneer Cemetery near Pioneer.

Mr. Underwood was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from Phillips Petroleum. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lampasas.

Survivors include his wife, Gearldine "Jerry" Underwood, of Lampasas; two sons, Jimmy Leeman Underwood, of Elk City, Okla., and Arnold Jay Underwood, of Linden, Pa.; two daughters, Terri Reed, of McPherson, Kan., and Jeanice Robinson, of Lampasas; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

The family requested memorials be made in honor of Blake Austin Reed to the MDA, Muscular Dystrophy Tall Grass Executive Park, 8100 E. 22nd St., North Building 2100-1, Wichita, Kan. 67226.
