Cross country finishes strong at Temple Meet

Ryan Tedford: Finished seventh in a field of 39 runners.

The Lampasas boys' and girls' cross country teams finished third and fourth, respectively, at the Temple Meet on Saturday.

Ryan Tedford placed seventh in a field of 39 runners to lead the Badgers. Brandon Willie finished 10th, Jonathan Lohmann 15th, Michael Fisher 21st and Lane Christianson 27th.

On the girls' side, Courtney Carpenter took eighth place in a field of 49 runners to pace the Lady Badgers. Molly Rogers finished 13th, Jontell Ritz 15th, Bailey Chambers 26th, Tiffany Fagg 30th and Bethany Brice 34th.

There was no junior varsity girls' race. The LHS junior varsity boys' finished fifth. Todd Young earned third among the 63 runners. Ryan Wiebe was 22nd, Ryan Delacruz finished 24th, Rico Delacruz 32nd and Corey Pillow was 52nd. Lampasas will host the Badger Invitational Meet at 8 a.m. Friday.
