Field trip
Aquaculture students at Lampasas High School, including Katie Elder, Jordan Cantrell and Sara Jackson, traveled to Inks Dam National Fish Hatchery to collect donated channel catfish fingerlings for research and production in the classroom. Aquaculture classes will observe and keep journals on water quality, temperature and feeding practices. A small number of catfish will be utilized for dissections, and the rest will be used for proper angler safety and processing of the channel catfish. Accompanying students was ag teacher and FFA adviser Wes Harris.
