Annual Herb/Art Fest slated this weekend

The 13th annual Herb & Art Fest is Saturday at historic downtown Courtyard Square, sponsored by the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce.

Events will extend from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and include guest speakers, seminars, children's activities, exhibits and numerous paintings, prints, and fine arts and crafts for purchase and exhibit.

A Kids Thyme area will be set up for children with a number of youth-related activities offered.

There also will be cookie- and pumpkin-painting contests.

First Street Church of Christ Hims of Praise men's choir will perform on the bandstand along with additional entertainment.

Keystone Square Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will host its Little Wrangler Round-up at 9 a.m. for those ages 4 to 8.

Food and beverage vendors will be available, and a number of gardening demonstrations and musical performances are set.
