Egley-Petronis
Couple exchange wedding vows in California

Mary Beth and Joseph Petronis
Mary Beth Egley of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Joseph Richard Petronis III of Austin were united in marriage in a July 7, 2007, afternoon ceremony at South Coast Christian Assembly, Assemblies of God, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.

Minister Darrell Word officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Tom and Maxine Egley. She is the granddaughter of Fred Egley and the late Marie Egley of Norfolk, Neb., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lienemann of Hildreth, Neb.

The groom's parents are Debby and Joe Petronis of Lampasas. He is the grandson of Ann Petronis and the late Col. Joe Petronis of Temple, and Don and Peggy Simmons of Amarillo.

Brian Noel was harpist.

Musical selections included "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," at the ceremony's opening; "Trumpet Voluntary," when bridesmaids entered; and "Canon in D," for the bridal march.

Altars held two floral arrangements of white and yellow daisies and gladiolus, mums and snapdragons with fern.

Pews featured white roses and yellow snapdragons with ivy and other greenery.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

She chose a diamond white chiffon dress with an A-line skirt and a chapel-length train.

Her fingertip-length veil was edged in organza.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of cream roses, white freesia and white stock.

Matron of honor was the bride's sister, Sarah Den Hartog, of Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Bridesmaids were Katie Caiozzo of Mission Viejo and Betsy Thomas of Fairfax, Va.

Attendants wore chiffon tealength dresses of moss green with spaghetti straps.

They carried hand-tied bouquets of white and yellow snapdragons.

Best man was Eric Fitzgerald of Austin.

Groomsmen were Kevin Mize of Kansas City, Kan., and Paul Tay of Springdale, Ark.

Ushers were the brides brothers, Jarrod Egley and John Egley of Mission Viejo, Calif.

The bride's parents hosted a reception after the ceremony.

The bride's three-tier white cake had coconut and fresh strawberry filling and was decorated with daisies.

The groom's chocolate ice cream cake was decorated to resemble a Texas flag.

After a trip to Copenhagen, Denmark, the couple is at home in Austin.

The bride earned a bachelor of science degree from Vanderbilt University. She is a fourth-grade teacher for the Pflugerville Independent School District.

The groom earned a bachelor of business administration from Baylor University and a master of business administration degree from Vanderbilt. He is a program manager for Dell, Inc.

Prior to the ceremony, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Don Jose in Laguna Hills, Calif.
