Martin Nuckles

Funeral mass for Martin Matthew Nuckles, 41, was Sept. 29, 2007, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Austin. Burial followed at Smith Cemetery at School Creek in Lampasas County.

Mr. Nuckles was born Aug. 31, 1966, at Grand Forks AFB, N.D., the son of Jim and Sally Nuckles. He attended Sacred Heart Elementary School, Pearce Junior High School, and graduated in 1984 from LBJ High School.

He attended Austin Community College for two years before joining the U.S. Air Force. He was employed by Mid-America Steel of Fargo, N.D.

Mr. Nuckles was a 20-year member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8141 of Austin. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his parents; a brother, Michael; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
