Mr. Jones

Wesley Raymond Jones, 79, of Bend died Sept. 27, 2007, at Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas.

Funeral services were Sept. 29 at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with J.R. Collins officiating. Burial was at Sand Hill Cemetery in Bend.

Mr. Jones was born Oct. 18, 1927, in Oklahoma, the son of Marshall and Estella Brooks Jones.

He married Barbra Marley on July 7, 1951.

Mr. Jones was a warehouseman for Safeway grocery stores. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Broad Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of Bend; sons, Gary Jones, and wife, Julie, of Mesquite, and Cary Jones, of Garland; a brother, Eugene Jones, of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family requested memorials be made to the charity of one's choice.
