Mr. Delgado
The body will be cremated. Mr. Delgado died Sept. 28 at his residence. He was 46. He was born June 17, 1961, in Silver City, N.M., to Pete and Angie Garcia Delgado. Mr. Delgado married Teri Valles on Oct. 24, 1979, in Silver City. He was a 13-year U.S. Army veteran and served in Operation Desert Storm. His decorations include Army Commendation Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters; Army Achievement Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters; Good Conduct Medal (fourth award); National Defense Service Medal; NCO Professional Development Ribbon Numeral 2; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon Numeral 2; Expert Badge, Rifle; Sharpshooter Badge, Grenade; Army Lapel Button; Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars; and Kuwait Liberation Medal. Mr. Delgado had worked for the Texas Department of Transportation in Lampasas. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of Kempner; sons, David Christopher Delgado and wife, Stephanie, of Copperas Cove, and Anthony L. Delgado and Melissa Danko, of Kempner; sisters, Betty Rascon and husband, Alfred, of Hanover, N.M., and Carol Sedillos, of Bayard, N.M.; brothers, Robert Delgado and wife, Mary, of Silver City, and Daniel Delgado, Paul Delgado, both of Bayard; his mother of Bayard; father-in-law, Manuel Valles, of Hurley, N.M.; one grandchild, Aubrey Skye Danko; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, and his mother-in-law, Luisa Valles. The family requested memorials be made to American Lung Association, P.O. Box 26460, Austin, TX 78755-0460.
