Diabetes Health Fair on tap

Metroplex Health System will offer a Diabetes Health Fair Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Killeen Community Center in celebration of National Diabetes Month.

The event is free and designed for those with diabetes and those concerned about or interested in learning about diabetes.

There will be a variety of health screenings to include glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, body composition and lung function screenings, as well as information from pharmaceutical and diabetic equipment companies.

Participants can win door prizes and enjoy healthy snacks.
