Museum to observe archeology month

Celebrate Texas Archeology Month each Saturday in October from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bell County Museum, 201 N. Main St., Belton. Visitors can explore a Plains Indian tipi and conduct an archeology "dig."

In addition, archeologist Doug Boyd will present "Pictures on Stone: Plains Biographic Rock Art," on Oct. 4 at 7 p.m.

Living history interpreter Curtis Carter will present informative and educational demonstrations on Plains Indian life on Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For information, phone (254) 933-5243.
