Mr. Waters

Patrick George Waters was born in Eagle County, Colo., on Jan. 4, 1928, to Patrick James and Nella Alma Nickle Waters.

He died Sept. 25, 2007, in Lampasas from multiple myeloma, cancer of the bone marrow.

A memorial service will be held in Colorado at a later date. The body was cremated.

After graduating from high school in Carbondale, Colo., in 1946. Mr. Waters enlisted in the Army Air Force, serving for three years.

He married Shirley Ann Boyd on April 24, 1949, in Glenwood Springs, Colo.

In 1952, Mr. Waters went to work for the Colorado Division of Wildlife and retired as a wildlife conservation officer in 1983.

He is survived by his wife; sons, John, Ron and Dan Waters; five grandchildren, Brian Waters, Angie and Clinton Waters, and Jesse and Jamie Metheny; and a sister, Ethel Miller.

Mr. Waters was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Metheny; and by four brothers and two sisters.

The family requested memorials be made to cancer research.
