Local student honored by Scott & White

Lampasas student Antoinette Simmons was honored earlier this week during the Scott & White Worth the Wait Creative Arts Contest Awards Ceremony at the hospital's education building.

Antoinette and family members were treated to dinner. She also received a cash prize and a plaque.

In a letter to the winner and her family, hospital officials said, "The effort and talent demonstrated by your child was impressive. Your support of the Scott & White Worth the Wait program is a valuable asset to students and to your community."
