Longtime local business owner, Paul Brown, dies

Graveside services for former longtime Lampasas businessman Paul A. Brown were Sept. 23, 2007, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas. Minister Reid Schaub officiated.

Mr. Brown died Sept. 20 at Lampasas Nursing & Rehab. He was 98.

He was born Aug. 16, 1909, in Lampasas County, the son of George and Mary Fulton Brown.

Mr. Brown graduated from Lampasas High School and took a correspondence course in electronics.

He opened Paul's Electric in Lampasas in 1947, and ran the company until 1997.

Survivors include daughters, Brenda Brown Clark, and husband, Jim, of The Woodlands, and Paula Brown Henderson, and husband, Jerry Don, of Lampasas; and three grandchildren, Lisa Henderson Stephens, and husband, Mike, Paul Clark and Susan Clark.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife, Daphne Jones Brown; by brothers, Bill, Fulton, Wesley, George, Bo and Auby Brown; and by a sister, Emily Butts.

The family requested memorials be made to the charity of one's choice.
