Lometa ISD to purchase bus

      Increasing numbers on bus routes sparked a decision by the Lometa Independent School District Board of Trustees to approve the purchase of a new bus. Action came in the board's first meeting of the new fiscal year held recently.

Hornets in hunt for third victory

      The Lometa Hornets racked up more than 200 rushing yards in less than three quarters in a 60-14 win over Rising Star last Friday. The Hornets (2-1) gained 212 of their 321 total yards via the ground attack in a game that was stopped because of the 45-point mercy rule with 1:38 left in the third.
