LHS XC boys 2nd at Liberty Hill
The Lampasas boys' cross coun- try teams shone on Saturday, while every varsity girl lowered her paceper mile at the Liberty Hill Invitational.

The varsity and junior varsity boys both finished second in the team standings, with seven runners medaling from those two groups combined.

Llano won the varsity team title, and Elgin topped the JV competition. The top 15 individuals in each race received medals.

For the LHS varsity boys, Ryan Tedford finished seventh, Brandon Willie 10th, David Bloomfield 15th, Jonathan Lohmann 16th and Todd Young came in 21st out of 53 runners.

For the JV boys, Lane Christianson finished fourth, with Michael Fisher sixth, Ryan Wiebe ninth, Chris Sanders 15th, Rico Delacruz 20th, Ryan Delacruz 30th and Corey Pillow 31st out of a field of 39.

The LHS varsity girls finished sixth in the team standings. Molly Rogers took 19th place, Jontell Ritz 28th, Bailey Chambers 41st, Bethany Brice 47th, Tiffany Fagg 48th and Kristen Martinez 54th. Seventy-eight runners participated in the division.

For the JV girls, Susie Goodspar placed 16th, while Jessica Sterling was 18th and Raven Reed finished 22nd out of 40 runners.

For Lampasas Middle School, seventh-grader Riley Tedford came in 21st out of 55 seventh- and eighth-graders, and Jeweliane Bienbenu was 28th out of 123 seventh and eighth-grade competitors.

The Lampasas teams are scheduled to compete at the University of Texas-San Antonio meet on Saturday, the site of the Region IV-4A Meet.

The LHS varsity cross country teams are scheduled to run at the University of Texas-San Antonio Meet on Saturday, the site of the regional meet.
