DWI charge nets jail sentence Ross G. Antrim, 60, of Copperas Cove was sentenced to four years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division after his probation was revoked in recent 27th District Court action under Judge Joe Carroll. Antrim is charged with driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. The probation of Buck Ryan Felan, 21, also was revoked. He was given two two-year state jail terms for two counts of burglary of a habitation. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Rhonda Lanette Kolanek, 34, of Arlington when she failed to show up for court. Bond was increased to $50,000. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance. For driving while intoxicated and felony repetition, Charles Cecil Hayhurst Jr., 26, of Copperas Cove was assessed six years' deferred adjudication probation. He must pay a $1,500 fine and court costs, and was ordered to participate in an alcohol rehabilitation program. On a charge of criminal mischief over $1,500 and under $20,000, Michael Bates Hughes, 32, of Lampasas was given four years' deferred probation. Three years' deferred adjudication probation was given to JoAnn Valles, 48, of Lampasas on her charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. She must perform 100 hours of community service, and was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and court costs. Sheila Marie Cyganiewicz, 34, of Copperas Cove was given two years' deferred adjudication probation, 200 hours of community service and a $500 fine. Charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, she also was ordered to pay court costs and fees. Vincent Garza Sanchez, 22, of Copperas Cove had his plea reset to Sept. 21 on charges of evading arrest with a vehicle and possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. Almond Gerod Lively, 31, of San Saba is expected to be arraigned Sept. 21 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. An Oct. 5 pretrial is on the docket for Lester Jerome Bailey, 48, charged with evading arrest with a vehicle. The judge also set bond for Bailey. An Oct. 5 pretrial also is scheduled for Jeffery Wade Menem, 39, of Austin on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. For burglary of a habitation, Fort Hood resident Michael Joseph Schornak, 28, is set to enter a plea on Oct. 19. A trial before the judge is on the Oct. 19 docket for Alonzo Moses Botello, 38, of Lampasas for criminal non-support. Kempner resident Dennis Lee Pickens, 54, is set for a Nov. 26 jury trial for indecency with a child, sexual contact. A Dec. 10 jury trial is set for Shawn Christopher Hansen, 28, of Copperas Cove on a charge of sexual assault, and for James Scott Culver, 38, of Bastrop for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. |
