DWI charge nets jail sentence
      Ross G. Antrim, 60, of Copperas Cove was sentenced to four years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division after his probation was revoked in recent 27th District Court action under Judge Joe Carroll. Antrim is charged with driving while intoxicated and felony repetition.

Law enforcement officials release arrests
      The following arrests have been reported by law enforcement officials. Sept. 12 -- Benjamin Guevera Ramirez, 35, of Lometa for criminal trespass. As of press time Thursday morning, he was still in the Lampasas County Jail.

CR 3050 traffic to be rerouted
      The Texas Department of Transportation has begun work on County Road 3050 to transform it into new Farm to Market Road 1715. The contractor plans to detour through traffic beginning Monday, with anticipated closure of the roadway for 14 months, until approximately December 2008.
