Fund-raiser enables equipment purchase
Funds raised from the recent country-western fund-raising event at Guthrie Ranch have been used to purchase new surgical equipment at Rollins Brook Community Hospital.
The June 3 event profited $30,081, which was used to purchase an endoscopic digital processor/processing unit and stand for the Surgical Services Department.
The fully digital endoscope system will provide enhanced visualization and high-resolution picture quality when used during surgical procedures.
Over 100 ranchers, businesspersons, hospital employees and physicians attended the event to help raise money. Tracy Guthrie hosted the event with a catered dinner, live entertainment from the Singing Cowboy of Salado and a live auction.
"Rollins Brook is truly grateful for the support that this community continuously provides," said Jeffrey Villanueva, Metroplex Health System Vice President and RBCH administrator. "We feel blessed by the generosity of those who attended our country-western fund-raiser and contributed to the purchase of this equipment."
