Sculptor T.J. Mabrey has been entertaining visitors from as far away as Germany at her Boat Show exhibition on view at 405 S. Pecan on downtown Courtyard Square.
There, more than 20 boats carved from marble and metal are on display until Sept. 22.
Mrs. Mabrey counts over 130 visitors to the show since its Aug. 25 opening, with 39 from out of town.
An exchange student from Berlin, Germany, wins first prize for being farthest from home. Others hail from Georgetown, Houston, San Antonio and Temple.
Mrs. Mabrey photographs visitors and posts the pictures in the gallery.
Boat show hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The exhibit is sponsored by Lampasas Association for the Arts. For more information, phone 556- 6997 or visit www.lafta.org.
