The Hendersons Couple observe 50th anniversary

A come-and-go reception was held in honor of the 50th anniversary of Ernest Jr. and Glenda Henderson at the home of their daughter and son-in-law at the Adams Mark Ranch at Lake Victor.

The party was hosted by Stephen and Mitzi Stripling, Nick Stripling and Matt and Stevi Avery.

The couple's original wedding picture from 1957 was the centerpiece for the table, accompanied by two dozen roses and a two-tiered cake.

Guests also enjoyed appetizers consisting of a variety of melon boats, gourmet cheeses and crackers, a chocolate-dipped strawberry tower and other vegetables.

Stevi Avery, the couple's granddaughter, created a memory album of the Hendersons with family pictures for guests to view.

Many family and friends attended from around the area as well as Temple, Midland and Austin.

The Hendersons have lived in Lampasas all of their married lives.
