Wong-Walker
The Rev. Deacon John Nordick officiated the double-ring evening wedding. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raul Wong Jr. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernesto Perez of Dallas. The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. John N. Walker of Lampasas. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jefferson Casbeer Jr. of Lampasas. Wedding music, featuring classic church compositions, included "Ave Maria," "Canon in D," and "Trumpet Voluntary." Cynthia A. Fruth of Dallas was organist and Jodi Todd of Dallas was the soloist. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose a Melissa Sweet silk wedding gown in candlelight white featuring a chapel-length train. Her cathedral-length veil was embellished with a ribbon border. To complement her gown, the bride carried a bouquet of white orchids, calla lilies and hydrangea. Matron of honor was Anne Miller of Houston. Maid of honor was Kate Hurtekant of Dallas. Bridesmaids were Tanya Janiszewski of Houston; Whitney Walker, the groom's sister, of Lampasas; and Laurie Schilling and Danielle Mitchell, both of Dallas. The bride's nieces, Briana Wong of Houston, and Danielle Nevitt and Lauren Nevitt, both of Dallas, were junior bridesmaids. Flower girl was Sarah Pool, the groom's cousin, of Trophy Club. Attendants wore chocolate brown, satin halter dresses. The floor-length gowns were made by Priscilla of Boston. Their bouquets were a mixture of cymibidian orchids, monkey tails and flame calla lilies. The flower girl wore a candlelight white Maria Casero dress accented with smocking and pearls. Best man was the groom's father. Groomsmen were Jason Harris of San Clemente, Calif.; Klay Patteson of San Antonio; Wesley Fisher of Houston; and Derrek Eckermann and Justin Andrews, both of Austin. Ring bearer was Luke Pool, the groom's cousin, of Trophy Club. Serving as ushers were Raul E. Wong, the bride's brother, of Houston; Jim Nevitt, the bride's brotherin law, of Dallas; Gage Garcia, cousin of the bride, of Chicago, Ill.; and the bride's nephews, Michael Nevitt of Dallas, and Ryan Wong of Houston. After the ceremony, a dinner and reception were given by the bride's parents. Members of the houseparty included Renee Wong, the bride's sister in-law, of Houston; and the bride's cousins, Debbie Falgout, of Charlotte, N.C., and Patty Garcia, of Chicago, Ill. The bride had a three-tiered tres leche cake. The groom's two-tier triple chocolate cake featured the Texas A&M logo on the top tier of the square cake. Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia and a stay at Sandals Regency Resort, the couple is at home in Austin. The bride is a 2005 graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in environmental design. She earned a master of architecture degree in May from A&M. She is an architectural intern for BGK Architects. The groom, a 2002 graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor of science in civil engineering, earned a master of science degree in finance in 2004 from A&M. He is an analyst with Kimley-Horn & Assoc. A rehearsal dinner was given by the groom's parents at Pappasitos in Dallas. ![]() |
