Lampasas man sentenced to state jail for drug charges Juan Rodriguez Jr., 29, of Lampasas was sentenced to two 15- year terms in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division to run concurrently. The punishment came in recent 27th District Court action under Judge Joe Carroll. Rodriguez, charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, was credited with time served. An arrest warrant was issued and bond increased to $50,000 for Wayne Blanchard, 60, of Terrell, when he failed to show up for court. He is charged with hindering a secured creditor. A Sept. 7 pretrial is slated for Jeffery Wade Menem. The 39-yearold Austin resident is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Arraignment is on the Sept. 7 docket for Arlington resident Rhonda Lanette Kolanek, 34, for possession of a controlled substance. Ross G. Antrim, 60, of Copperas Cove is set to enter a plea Sept. 7 on a charge of driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. Jury trials are scheduled Sept. 10 for John Christian Wood, 21, for sexual assault of a child; Jaime Rodriguez, 29, of Lampasas on two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; and Ryan Tony Davis, 19, of Temple for burglary of a building. Kountze resident Nathan McDaniel Jr., 52, charged with theft of service, had his charge reduced to a misdemeanor. He faces a Sept. 21 plea. A pretrial is set Sept. 21 for Joseph Eric Sutton, 30, of Lampasas for assault/family enhanced. A punishment hearing was reset to Sept. 21 for Serafin Miranda. The 51-year-old Austin resident is charged with driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. Lacey Nichole Lewis, 21, of New Braunfels faces a Sept. 21 adjudication announcement for possession of a controlled substance. Punishment is expected to be handed down Oct. 5 to Lucila Garcia, 45, of Lometa. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. A presentence investigation was ordered. Sandra Gayle Forshee, 40, of Kempner is expected to enter a plea Oct. 12 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. A presentence investigation was ordered. Also set to enter a plea Oct. 12 is Melissa Sullivan, 43, of Kempner for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; and Joseph Randall Jacobs, 25, for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. The judge ordered presentence investigations in both cases. Fred John Beezer, 64, of San Antonio faces an Oct. 19 plea for theft over $20,000 and under $100,000. The judge ordered a presentence investigation. On a charge of evading arrest with a vehicle, Kempner resident George Truitt, 41, is set for an Oct. 22 jury trial. A Nov. 26 jury trial is slated for Norris Allen Wood, 47, of Lampasas. He is charged with hindering a secured creditor and failure to comply with registration requirements. Jury trial for Jim Carlton Wooldridge, 62, of Lampasas will be reset to November or December due to his attorney's involvement in another case in Llano. Wooldridge is charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child. |
