Metroplex seeks volunteers

Metroplex Health System is hosting two orientations for those interested in learning more about Metroplex Health System Volunteers Program. An informational meeting is Thursday from 1-4 p.m. at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen.

A second meeting is set Sept. 11 from 5-9 p.m. at the hospital.

Interested candidates will meet at the Information Desk at the hospital's main entrance.

Meetings are designed to give potential volunteers an opportunity to learn about the program, ask questions and find out about current volunteer openings at the hospital.

A variety of opportunities are available, such as greeting the public, escorting and transporting patients, helping on patient units and in the family waiting room, doing clerical work, working in the gift shop and driving a shuttle bus.
